rociconCharlotte’s Web Hemp Extract is a cannabis remedy that is named after Charlotte Fiji, who is described as “the girl who is changing medical marijuana laws across America.”

She experienced an amazing reduction of her epileptic seizures after her first dose of this MEDICAL HIGH-CBD cannabis at age five. It’s also helping people with PTSD, muscle spasms, brain injuries, digestion issues, aches and pains, depression and more.

If you ask around, most people are familiar with the children’s novel, Charlotte’s Web, written by E. B. White and illustrated by Garth Williams.

In it’s early days, Charlotte’s Web Oil was thought of as “medical marijuana,” so there was much controversy about the use of cannabis as medicine, after all — the U.S. Government declared marihuana as dangerous.

But things changed when this remedy was featured in the 2013 CNN documentaryWeed.”  Word spread and attitudes changed because the media coverage increased the demand for something that was bringing life back to their children. The story of Charlotte’s Web Hemp Extract has also been featured on 60 MinutesThe ViewNPRMSNBCNBC NewsThe New York TimesTIME Magazine and more.

A clinical review in the New England Journal of Medicine states that since 2013, data has been collected on patients with severe epilepsy (Dravet’s syndrome and the Lennox–Gastaut syndrome). The patients received Epidiolex, a purified cannabis extract containing 99% cannabidiol and less than 0.10% THC. Among 137 patients, the median reduction in the number of seizures was 54%. Charlotte’s Web contains 99% cannabidiol and 0.3% THC.

plant leavesNow it’s certified by Colorado’s Department of Agriculture as hemp – thus the re-naming the oil as “hemp extract.” (The oil is just a liquid that suspends the extract in a form that is easy to dispense). Consumable hemp is considered a dietary supplement due to ultra-low THC content of only 0.3%. It is legally shipped to all 50 states without a doctor’s recommendation. The featured natural molecular compound is cannabidiol (CBD). KEY: The chemical ratio in Charlottes Web Hemp Extract is 26:1 CBD-to-THC.

How to order and dosing info next, but first our story:
I heard about CW on a national talk show hosted by Norman Goldman. I was listening to radio station WCPT by using the TuneIn Radio smartphone app. Having seen THC cause big problems for people with bipolar, I called into Norm’s show and warned about the dangers of recreational street marijuana.

Norm told me that HIGH-CBD cannabis is DIFFERENT, and that Charlotte’s Web has been working wonders for people with cancer, migraine headaches, and provided relief for some kids with severe epileptic seizures.

I realized that my family member was taking Lamictal (Lamotragine), which is an anti-seizure medication. Could Charlotte’s Web – also an anti-seizure remedy – be a beneficial mood stabilizer for bipolar – but without the side effects?”

Tons of people were moving to Colorado to get relief for their children. Rather than wait,  I found a strain of cannabis locally called “ACDC” that had a 20:1 ratio of CBDsto-THC in it. It’s a good strain to start reducing “street pot” usage. We tried it, and liked it!! The calming benefit was definitely noticeable.

After three months of using ACDC, we added in Charlotte’s Web. It made a substantial added benefit. I now see more stability, more calm, better communication, and more stable sleep patterns.

Note: Cannabis/hemp is NOT a substitute for any anti-psychotic medication. ADD it in to your regular routine. Do NOT suddenly reduce or increase any prescribed medications (especially any SSRI drug such as Prozac, Lexapro, etc.) unless instructed by YOUR DOCTOR.

To know the dose of cannabidiol (CBD) that you are taking, you have to know the amount of milligrams of CBD in the particular bottle that you purchase. The most potent version is their “Advanced” product line.Drops

We need to better identify the different levels of quality and chemical make-up of cannabis. One size does NOT fit all, especially when it comes to the term, “Medical marijuana.” Here is how we separate and distinguish what you get from different cannabis:

(1) THC street pot (inconsistent quality)
(2) Medical marijuana (higher quality, different cannabinoids) and it includes:

       • THC-dominant medical marijuana (more THC than CBD)
       • THC-CBD-balanced medical marijuana – 1:1 ratio of CBD-to-THC
       • CBD-dominant medical marijuana – 2:1 ratio, or 5:2 ratio of CBD-to-THC
(3) Medical-CBD cannabis/hemp (25:1 or more CBD-to-THC ratio).

Note: edible cannabis products may contain different amounts of active ingredients than specified on packaging labels. Double-check the testing, consistency and reliability of any edible cannabis product.

Just to be clear, HIGH-CBD cannabis is NOT a substitute for an anti-psychotic medication like Seroquel, Zyprexa, Depakote, etc. It is NOT a substitute for any anti-depression medication. Add-in medical-CBD remedies to your normal routine.
